Michelle Lin, PhD

Dr. Michelle Lin is Founder and General Partner of Transpacific Venture Partners (TPV). She also serves on the board of directors for TSC Bio-venture Inc. and numerous biomed start-ups.

Previously, Dr. Lin was leading voice & advocate for Taiwan’s med tech industry serving as Secretary General of Taiwan Bio-Industry Organization from 2006 to 2010. Dr. Lin also held various high level positions within the government focused on crafting policy to help establish, nurture and promote Taiwan’s biotechnology industry including serving as Director of Biotech Office at the Executive Yuan (The Cabinet). Prior to that, she was a director of the business & promotion division in the Development Center of Biotechnology (DCB).

Peter J. Fitzgerald, MD, PhD

Dr. Peter Fitzgerald is an Interventional Cardiologist and a Professor of Medicine at Stanford University, where he is the Director of the Center for Cardiovascular Technology and the Director of the Cardiovascular Core Analysis Laboratory. Dr. Fitzgerald has led and/or participated in over 100 clinical trials and has published over 350 articles and chapters in medical journals and text books.

In addition to his clinical expertise, Dr. Fitzgerald is able to gain granularity on a technology level, having a PhD in Biomedical Engineering. Furthermore, Dr. Fitzgerald brings extensive venture and start up experience to the fund, having been part of the founding team of more than a dozen medical device start-ups, and having been one of the principle founders of two healthcare-focused venture capital funds located in Silicon Valley and Israel, respectively.

Dr. Fitzgerald serves on several boards, and is an advisor to many medical device start-ups and multinational healthcare companies.
